Product Selection & Suitability

  • If you’re working with vehicles where ride quality, variable loads and comfort matter (for example fleet vans, RVs, trailers), then SumoSprings® are the right fit — engineered to manage mixed loads while preserving ride.
  • If you’re outfitting heavy‑duty trucks, service bodies, constant payload vehicles, or vehicles with leaf springs carrying a lot of weight, then SuperSprings® (helper spring systems) are typically the better match.
  • For commercial applications where you need to level vehicles, reduce sag, improve stability and support heavy duty cycles, we can guide your build sequence accordingly.

Capacity varies by the spring’s height, diameter, and density. In short: how many pounds are required to compress the spring to 50% of its free height.

For your fleet builds, we’ll help you select the correct density and size based on payload, application, and vehicle type.

Yes. For example, SumoSprings are designed to share load and maintain ride comfort by absorbing road shock and vibration, while still improving stability under payload.

This dual‑purpose performance makes them effective in commercial vans, RVs, up‑fitted trucks, and fleet vehicles alike.

Compatibility & Application Issues

No. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is determined by the vehicle manufacturer and cannot be increased by installing our systems. Our products help manage loads and ride quality — they do not alter original GVWR.

Yes. Our Coil SumoSprings are designed for coil‑spring applications (typically under a 14,000 lb GVW) and are engineered to improve capacity by 15‑30% in many cases — without the articulation compromise of traditional inserts.

Yes. We offer Trailer SumoSprings® which mount to leaf‑spring trailer suspensions and engage as the frame drops under load or sway. Note: They are enhancements, not replacements for failed springs.

Installation, Tools & Service

While standard tools will work, we offer special installation tools (ITL‑1 SUPERCLAMP, ITL‑2 ACMECLAMP, etc) built for high‑volume or commercial‑shop installs. These tools can speed up turn‑up time and improve consistency in fleet or up‑fit environments.

Not always. Some kits include the necessary mounting hardware (e.g., poly spring pad). Other cases—especially commercial uses or custom builds—may require dedicated mounting kits (MTKT, MXKT, etc). Check the vehicle lookup table to see whether a mounting kit is included or required.

One of the big benefits for a B2B customer: no air lines, no compressors, no adjustments. Install once and run with confidence. Maintenance intervals are minimal, which is ideal for fleets and commercial assets.

Warranty & Commercial Applications

For commercial applications (vehicles used in business, up‑fitted trucks, fleets), our limited lifetime warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years from date of purchase.

For consumer use, the coverage extends for the life of the vehicle. But for your B2B fleet use‑cases, plan for the standard 3‑year term.

The warranty does not apply if:

  • The vehicle has been altered or the product installed improperly
  • The vehicle is operated beyond manufacturer’s specifications (GVWR, towing, etc)
  • Damage arises from abuse, off‑road in unpaved conditions beyond intended duty, or other factors outside our product’s scope.

Commercial Considerations for Dealers, OEMs & Fleet Managers

Inventory strategy: Our vehicle lookup tool helps you match part-numbers by make/model/year. Consider stocking top tiers for your major fleet platforms to reduce lead-time.
Build consistency: Whether you install in-house or through a dealer network, the bolt-on nature and minimal service requirement simplify expansion and training.
Fleet uptime: Reduced maintenance, no airlines, minimal adjustments means fewer service interruptions and more asset availability.
Warranty management: Document installations properly (date, vehicle, part numbers) to support future warranty claims. Educate your service teams.
Up-fit flexibility: Our systems integrate with existing setups — whether replacing air bags, adding load support, or upgrading early in a vehicle’s life-cycle.
